About Taylor
Taylor began working with Booker Law in August 2022 as a legal assistant. As a legal assistant, her main job was to answer our phones, assist clients through the initial intake process, and help our staff with their work, which included setting clients up in our system, drafting, sending, and filing documents, ordering records, conducting research, and helping maintain communications with all our clients. In 2024, Taylor left Booker Law to attend law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where she will graduate in 2026.
A Word From Taylor About Her Time at Booker Law
I was playing softball for Midwestern State University and working towards my bachelors degree when my Political Science professor recommended I apply for the legal internship that Booker Law was offering. As time went on the internship turned into employment as a legal assistant for the office. It has by far been my favorite place of employment. Mr. Booker was extremely flexible with my ever changing schedule and was supportive of my commitments to my sport and to school, even taking the time to cheer me on at some of my games. Through my work at Booker Law I learned a lot about Personal Injury, Probate, and Estate Planning. I hope to carry and utilize that knowledge as I continue my education at South Texas College of Law Houston, where I will graduate in the Fall of 2026. I know that if it had not been for Mr. Booker's support and guidance I would have faced many more struggles on the road to achieving my dream career. I hope to one day be able to help and support others through my work in the same ways he does.
